Learn/Play Balance
Our camps provide a true balanced approach of technology time and recreation play. If your child had to code all day, type all day, or sit in front of a screen all day, they wouldn’t enjoy it and would probably not want to learn it. Tech Rocks constantly rotates curriculum (typing, coding, free time) as well as alternates on-screen and off-screen activities to keep your child engaged and excited to keep learning more.
During camp, your child will extend their knowledge and supplement what they already know in the areas of:
- Improve Typing Proficiency – All students/coders need to learn to type
- Individual Programming Track (IPT) – Customized curriculum based on their current level
- Game Design & Development – Basic Gaming fundamentals
- Game Projects – Minecraft Mods, Roblox Game Design and more!
Typical Day:
AM
- 8-9am Before Care Available (@ $15/hr.)
- Typing Fundamentals & Typing Games
- Morning Snack & Rec Time
- Programming/Coding Puzzles & Games
- Individual Project/Activity Time
- Free Time: Online Gaming/ Minecraft/ Roblox/ Fortnite
LUNCH (to be brought in by students) & Rec Time
PM
- Typing Fundamentals & Typing Games
- Afternoon Snack Break & Rec Time
- Individual Project/Coding Activity
- Free Time: Online Gaming/ Minecraft/ Roblox/ Fortnite
- 3-6pm After Care Available (@ $15/hr.)

My son generally doesn’t enjoy camps, but he really loved this one. This suited him well because he enjoys video games and the social atmosphere of the kids helping each other. I liked it because he learned skills that I wouldn’t normally try to have him learn, i.e typing and coding.

I really enjoyed going to the tech rocks camp this week! Even though I am new at helping out control little kids and keep them focus it was a great experience for me! Everyday we did something new and I discovered multiple things such as how to create my very own 3D game. I would totally recommend this camp to my friends who enjoy playing around with technology! I appreciate how much time and effort you have put for this camp Alvin! :D

My son is 11 and he grew up on numerous camps during summer, winter, and spring. This was his most favorite camp so far. He not only had a fabulous time but learned a ton of new things related to programming. Excellent teacher, excellent group of children, and excellent structure of the week of learning. We will definitely be back!!!!
